Things to do

A nearby sandy beach

On Site

If you plan to venture outside the cabin there is plenty to do on-site including a heated open-air swimming pool (free) and sauna (small charge), family bar (with meals), shop for all your essentials, games room with pool tables and a video blu-ray cinema.

Red phone-box on-site(Please note not all of these facilities are open outside of the peak summer season, although you can make calls from the on-site retro phone box all year round!)

Walking distance

Cenarth is about 1 mile away and there is a pleasant walk to the village alongside the river. In the opposite direction is the famous Nag’s Head with its micro-brewery, ever changing list of ales and fab menu including local Teifi Sewin trout (in season).

There is a well stocked small supermarket in the village where you will also find locally produced pies, meat, cakes and cheese.

Cenarth is famous for its waterfalls and there is an enjoyable, easy walk along the river to view them. The river features strongly in the local activities which also include a visit to the Coracle Centre, trout fishing and the award winning Caws Cenarth cheese farm, one of Rick Stein’s food superheroes!

For more serious walkers and cyclists the surrounding countryside is an unbeatable mix of hills and coastline. There is an OS map and walk book available for your use. Many walks can start from the site and the National Cycle Network route 82 passes close by.

Short Drive Away

For those looking to venture a little further afield the Cardigan Bay coast is only a short drive away. You can’t beat the long sandy (blue flag) beaches at Mwnt or Poppit Sands, and New Quay is a favourite place for spotting Europe’s largest colony of bottle nose dolphins.

This area is also packed with lovely villages and small towns such as Cardigan, Aberaeron and Newcastle Emlyn – ideal for a nose around the antique shops and second hand book stores (find your own retro items to take home!)

Cilgerran Castle is just one of the historical sites in the area and well worth a look – why not combine it with a short walk along the river Teifi to the Woodland Trust Visitors Centre.

If you have a more adventurous streak you can try coasteering, kayaking, snorkelling or mountain biking all at locations not more than 30 minutes drive from the Cabin.
