The cabin

Outside of the cabin, in the trees

Caban Casita is situated in mature woodlands, where each Cabin is set apart from the others ensuring privacy and quiet seclusion.

The lounge features a number of fantastic retro items including the iconic Eero Aarnio globe chair — it is almost impossible to sit in it and not imagine yourself as a Bond Villain. There’s also a cosy sofa to cuddle up on and enjoy the range of 70’s DVDs available to watch on the LCD TV. Suitable for both summer and winter breaks there is a wall-mounted fire and wi-fi bringing modern comfort and convenience.

Fit for Bond. James Bond. The sun always shines in Wales and Caban Casita is fully prepared. Enjoy your breakfast out on the veranda which comes equipped with table, chairs and inquisitive squirrels.

The kitchen is small but has everything you will need including a hob, oven and fridge and is fully supplied with kitchen equipment. No need to carry food round to the Lounge as there is a handy 70’s serving hatch through which to pass your prawn cocktail in the style of Margot from the Good Life. Kaftan not supplied.

The cosy bedroom is just right for two (double bed). Duvet and extra blankets are supplied just in case. There is a travel cot available if you have a baby but you will need to bring your own bedding.

The bathroom features an electric shower, sink, loo and heater for the winter stays. Towels provided.

If you want to bring your pooch, they will be in doggie heaven in the dog bedroom — a built in dog bed, food bowls and a well ventilated room. For those without dogs you should know that as Caban Casita is fully pine clad and cleaned thoroughly each visit there will be no evidence of our doggy friends for your stay.

History of the cabin

Built in 1973 as part of one of the very first eco-friendly holiday parks, Caban Casita was designed by celebrated Welsh architect Graham Brooks in the Scandinavian modernist style (that means lots of pine to you and me).

The cabin was bought by the current owners in early 2010.
